How many eggs...
So I go to breakfast this morning at the DFAC(military cafeteria) where the cooks have no idea about portion control. I ask for ONE egg worth of whites scrambled, do I get one egg worth? No I get at least a dozen worth. So here I am at the trash can throwing away 3/4ths of what they served me because I know if I keep it on my plate I will eat all of it. The crazy things we do to loose the extra booty... Hopefully I can overcome the language barrier and I can somehow show the cooks in the morning how much 1 egg worth of whites really is. Here is to another day of 301... 5 bottles of water and too many trips to the little girls room to count.

Hey Chunky Monkey! Thanks for stopping by my blog. I see that your plan is to only eat 3 times a day. If that works for you, then hey, go for it. But if you feel like you're starving between meals, maybe plan for more like 3 meals and 2 snacks a day. That's the only way I'm able to make it through the day without feeling deprived. But it might not work for you, of course. Just something to think about. A little low-fat cheese stick and an apple can go a long way. Of course, it may be hard for you to snack if you don't have access to your own food outside of the cafeteria. In any case, best of luck in your new journey. I'll be rootin' for ya!
Hello! Thanks so much for visiting my blog and leaving such nice comments! It's always so nice to meet someone else on the same quest. :) Good luck to you - I'll be checking in to see how it goes. :)
Like me Weight Watchers leader always used to say: "You can waste the food, or you can waist the food!"
Just think of all those trips to the loo as exercise as well! I've been slacking on water consumption, but yesterday I had 8 cups (2 more than my goal), and today I feel so good!
Keep up the good work!
Hi Chunky Monkey. Came here via a comment you left over at my place. Looking forward to following along on your journey.
I'm big on measuring things/visual equivalents. I think one scrambled eggwhite would probably fit in the palm of a cupped hand. Could you show them that way instead of trying to explain?
Thanks for stopping by my blog too! You're way stronger than I would have been. Faced with large portions on my plate I have a really hard time resisting them! Keep on keeping on and it will come. Meanwhile, keep in touch!
Just found your blog! I really enjoyed reading it. Good luck with everything! I will keep reading to see if the Cook situation improves.
